E-mail Distribution Lists
STC Alberta hosts two e-mail distribution lists:
- STC_Alberta is a private, un-moderated e-mail discussion list for members of the Alberta chapter
of the STC to communicate with each other.
- stc-ab-announce is a private e-mail list used by
the STC Alberta Executive to send member-related messages to members.
Any postings about technical communication or the STC are appropriate, but you should review the instructions below
before posting. If you have any questions or constructive comments about the list, please e-mail our Membership Coordinator.

Posting Rules
Please read and understand these rules before posting to STC ALBERTA. The listowner may remove anyone from the list
for flagrant or repeated infractions.
What to post:
- Information about technical communication and/or STC.
What not to post:
- Information that is not about technical communication and/or STC.
- Virus warnings or other messages asking you to forward them to everyone you know.
- Unsolicited critiques about spelling, grammar, or usage in messages.
- Product advertisements.
- Messages that are abusive of another list member.
- E-mail attachments.
- Job opportunities. Instead, contact the STC Alberta jobline coordinator to post job opportunities. They will reach
a larger audience.
Other:
- Please include your e-mail address in the body of the message you post to the list.
- If a question you pose to the list generates a variety of useful answers that are sent to you privately, please
summarize the answers and post them to the list.
- If you have any questions or constructive comments about STC ALBERTA, please send them to
membership@stc-alberta.org. Do not post them to the list.
